The Experia Interactive LED Ladderlite is a wall-mounted, voice-activated LED sensory panel available across North America. Standing approximately 60 inches tall in a narrow 20"W x 63"H x 5.25"D format and weighing 40 lbs, it is the vertical counterpart to the Experia LED Fanlite — the same 8-mode, voice-activated LED system in a tall, narrow ladder shape that rises up the wall rather than spreading wide across it. For sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and classrooms where wall width is already occupied by other equipment, the Ladderlite's narrow 20-inch footprint makes it the practical choice.
The operating system is identical to the Fanlite: 8 modes in total — 3 automatic (the LED display cycles and shifts independently) and 5 sound-activated (the display responds directly to any vocalisation, clap, speech, or ambient sound). Every mode has its own independent sensitivity and speed settings, giving the operator precise control over how responsive the panel is to ambient sound levels. Sensitivity from a whisper to a shout; speed from slow and gradual to fast and immediate. The same panel serves a non-verbal user working on early vocalisation in a quiet one-to-one session, or a group of children in an energetic classroom activity — calibrated differently for each.
The internal microphone handles the vast majority of use cases. An external microphone socket is also provided, with an external microphone supplied, allowing sound capture to be positioned separately from the panel when layout or session requirements need it.
Installation is straightforward: affix the unit to the wall, connect to power via the included transformer, and the Ladderlite is ready to use. No complex setup. Adult supervision required. Ages 3+. Made in the USA.
Key Features of the Experia Interactive LED Ladderlite
-
60" Tall Narrow LED Ladder Panel - 20"W x 63"H x 5.25"D - The Ladderlite's vertical format draws the eye upward; its narrow 20-inch width makes it the practical choice for sensory rooms, hallways, and classroom walls where horizontal space is limited by other equipment.
-
8 LED Modes - 3 Automatic and 5 Sound-Activated - Three modes run automatically without any user input; five modes respond directly to sound. Having both automatic and sound-activated modes in the same unit allows the same panel to serve as a passive ambient display in one session and an active cause-and-effect vocalization tool in the next.
-
Independent Sensitivity and Speed Settings on Every Mode - Every one of the 8 modes has its own sensitivity and speed controls. Sensitivity adjusts how much sound triggers a response; speed adjusts how rapidly the display reacts. Independent per-mode settings mean each mode can be calibrated precisely for different users, activities, and therapeutic goals without hardware changes.
-
Internal Microphone Included - The internal microphone handles standard close-range and mid-range vocalisation across most therapy and classroom settings.
-
External Microphone Socket - External Mic Supplied - An external microphone socket allows sound capture to be positioned separately from the panel — useful for users with very quiet vocalisation, group sessions with distributed participants, or room layouts where the panel and the user cannot be in close proximity.
-
LED Technology - Bright, Crisp Colours That Never Fade - LED lighting produces vivid, consistent colour output that does not diminish over time and requires no lamp replacement, keeping ongoing maintenance to zero.
-
Simple Installation - Wall-Mount, Connect Power, Ready to Use - The Ladderlite is designed to install in three steps: affix to the wall, connect the included transformer to a standard power outlet, and the unit is ready. No technical expertise or specialist installation is required.
Skills Developed Through the Experia Interactive LED Ladderlite
-
Vocalization and Communication Skills - The immediate colour response to any vocal output motivates continued vocalisation and supports the gradual development of more intentional, sustained communication. Five sound-activated modes provide five different visual reward contexts for the same vocal behaviour.
-
Cause and Effect - The direct, immediate connection between making a sound and watching the tall LED ladder light up requires no button, no controller, no physical action beyond vocalising — one of the most accessible cause-and-effect experiences available in any sensory environment.
-
Colour Recognition - Vivid, shifting colours across 8 modes provide a rich visual context for colour observation and identification, with the vertical format adding height awareness as an additional dimension.
-
Auditory Self-Monitoring - Observing how different volumes, pitches, and durations of sound produce different LED responses in different modes develops auditory self-awareness and the beginnings of vocal self-regulation.
-
Attention and Sustained Engagement - The vertical format draws and holds visual attention through height; users motivated by the upward-reaching colour display engage consistently and for longer than with non-reactive displays.
Ideal for
- OT clinics and speech-language pathology practices where voice-activated cause-and-effect panels support vocalization reward and communication skill development
- Sensory rooms and multi-sensory environments adding a tall, narrow voice-responsive LED panel alongside or instead of wider-format panels
- Schools, resource rooms, hallways, and inclusive classrooms where wall width is limited and a narrow 20-inch footprint is the practical choice
- Children and adults at any stage of communication development who benefit from immediate visual reward for vocalisation
- Group settings where ambient sound from multiple participants collectively activates the panel across automatic and sound-activated modes
- Care facilities and residential settings where a tall, visually distinctive LED display enriches the sensory and corridor environment
