At 76 large 10cm foam blocks across 8 Signature shapes, recommended for 4-6 children, it is the first BUILDER set where a full kindergarten table group - the standard 4-6 child small group that most early years programmes work with - all have meaningful block access at the same time. Seventy-six blocks divided among six children gives each approximately 12-13 blocks: enough to build a complete, recognisable floor structure independently before combining into a group build that uses all 76 blocks simultaneously.
That threshold is significant for institutional buyers. Kindergarten and preschool construction activities are typically run in table groups of 4-6 children. A set that cannot serve the full table group means an educator must either split the activity (some children build while others wait) or manage unequal block allocation across the session. The Builder 76 eliminates that management problem - every child at the table has the same block access from the start of the session.
Key Features of the TUKI BIG Magnetic Blocks Set - Builder 76
- 76 Large 10cm Magnetic Foam Blocks - Recommended for 4-6 Children - 76 blocks for 4-6 children gives each child in a full kindergarten table group approximately 12-13 blocks, enough for every participant to build independently before combining into a shared floor structure
- 8 Signature TUKI Block Shapes - The full 8-shape vocabulary - cubes, beams in multiple variants, L-shapes, and triangles - providing the complete geometric range for complex, architecturally varied group builds at floor scale; the same shape set as the Builder 43 and Builder 56, with significantly more blocks per shape type
- 10cm x 10cm x 10cm Large-Format BIG Blocks - Each block is a full 10cm cube, twice the linear dimension of the Regular range and eight times the volume per block; floor-scale, both-hands, whole-body building blocks that develop gross motor planning, bilateral coordination, and proprioceptive body awareness at a physical scale that tabletop construction cannot match
- Rotating Neodymium Magnet Capsules - Full-Angle Connectivity - Every face of every block attracts every other face in any orientation; no wrong connections, no failed placements; reliable magnetic connectivity at the frequency of 4-6 child group building where dozens of connections are made simultaneously across a session
- Four Colours - Turquoise, Grey, Yellow and Pink - Seventy-six blocks across four colours provides the richest colour-based building vocabulary in the BUILDER range; enough of each colour for dedicated single-colour sub-builds by each child in a group of four, with blocks to spare for combined colour structures
- Closed-Cell EVA Foam - Waterproof, Disinfectable and Floating - Made from closed-cell EVA foam that does not absorb water; blocks wipe clean or disinfect in seconds between group sessions; meeting the hygiene standards required in kindergartens, therapy rooms, and institutional settings with multiple groups using shared equipment across the day
- EN71-Certified, BPA-Free and Non-Toxic - Certified to EN71-1, EN71-2, and EN71-3 European toy safety standards; BPA-free and non-toxic; independently safety-tested; appropriate for all regulated early years, therapy, and institutional settings
- Compatible with All TUKI BIG BUILDER and SMART Sets - Every block is fully compatible with all other TUKI BIG products; Builder 76 blocks combine freely with any other BUILDER or SMART set, giving institutions the option to expand their collection without compatibility concerns
- Storage Bag Included - The set includes a storage bag designed for institutional use - pack-away, transport between rooms, and hygiene management between group sessions
- Poland's Toy of the Year 2023 - Made in Poland - Awarded Poland's Toy of the Year 2023; manufactured in Poland to EN71 European standards
The Builder 76 as a Bridge Set - When to Choose BUILDER and When to Scale to SMART
The TUKI BIG range offers two sub-ranges that serve different institutional needs. The BUILDER sets (12 through 76) are designed for structured group construction with a defined number of children, where every child in the group has personal block access and the session produces a shared floor build. The SMART sets (75 through 280 elements) are designed for larger environments - high-traffic playrooms, full classroom rotations, hotel play zones, large sensory rooms - where many children may use the blocks across a session without a defined group structure.
The Builder 76 is the ceiling of the BUILDER sub-range and the right choice for settings where the session structure is a defined group of 4-6 children working together. For a kindergarten with table groups of 5-6, a sensory room running 4-child OT groups, or a childcare centre with a construction corner for up to 6 children at a time, the Builder 76 provides exactly the block count needed - no more, no less. Adding a SMART set would provide more blocks than the group session requires and more cost than the setting needs to justify.
Settings where the Builder 76 starts to feel limiting are those where the group grows beyond 6, where multiple groups use the blocks in rapid succession without a defined pack-away between sessions, or where the institutional ambition is a permanent large-scale construction installation that changes daily. Those settings are the natural SMART set audience. The Builder 76 is the answer for everyone in between.
Skills and Developmental Outcomes
- Collaborative Construction and Social Communication at Full Table-Group Scale - Building with 4-6 children using a shared pool of 76 blocks - where every participant has personal block access - generates the highest-quality sustained collaborative floor construction in the BUILDER range; each child contributes meaningfully to the group build without competing for limited blocks
- Gross Motor Planning, Bilateral Coordination and Core Strength - Lifting, carrying, and placing 10cm large-format foam blocks across an extended 4-6 child group session develops bilateral coordination, motor planning, core stability, and whole-body spatial awareness at the physical scale unique to large-format floor construction
- Spatial Reasoning and 3D Engineering at Maximum BUILDER Scale - Combining 8 Signature shapes across 76 blocks produces the most architecturally complex group floor structures achievable in the BUILDER range; the spatial reasoning, structural problem-solving, and early engineering demands are at their highest at this block count
- Executive Function, Role Allocation and Group Leadership - Coordinating a 4-6 child build at 76-block scale generates natural opportunities for role allocation, sub-group leadership, structural planning across multiple simultaneous sub-builds, and the higher-order executive function demands that larger group construction uniquely creates
- Proprioceptive and Tactile Sensory Processing - Repeated lifting, carrying, and placing of 76 large-format EVA foam blocks across an extended group session provides sustained proprioceptive input and rich tactile engagement across the whole group; the sensory demands of this scale of floor building are a whole-body experience for every participant
- Creative Expression and Collaborative Narrative at Full Group Scale - Seventy-six blocks in 8 shapes for up to 6 children sustains the most complex and narratively rich group imaginative construction this BUILDER range provides
