The mat is not a generic crash mat placed loosely at the end of a track. The nylon webbing straps attach securely to the Tumbl Trak frame at the end of the bed, positioning the mat flush against the last leg of the frame so that the end of the mat sits under the take-off end of the track. This integrated attachment prevents the mat from shifting or creating a gap between the track surface and the landing zone during active training sessions - the kind of gap that creates a hazard when athletes dismount at speed.
