A compression vest kids will actually want to wear - the Power WearHouse ProPower is one of the few sensory compression garments that genuinely disappears into everyday clothing, looking and feeling like a normal vest while delivering precise, graduated deep pressure input across the torso and shoulders. This 5-vest bundle is built for those who need reliable sensory support at scale: OT clinics, special education classrooms, residential programs, and families managing multiple wearers or rapid growth through sizes. At $575 CAD for five vests across your chosen sizes, the bundle saves $20 while ensuring you always have the right fit on hand across Canada & the US.
Developed by occupational therapists with over 20 years of combined experience, the ProPower vest is built on what the team calls the ProPower Advantage - a colour-coded hook and loop guide that lets both the caregiver and the child's health care professional confirm the exact compression level being delivered at every wearing. That consistency matters in therapeutic contexts, where guesswork in compression levels can undermine the effectiveness of a sensory diet plan.
Proprioceptive input - the type of sensory information the body receives from muscles and joints under pressure - plays a central role in how the nervous system organises itself. When that input is consistent and appropriately calibrated, many children find it significantly easier to transition between activities, manage sensory overload, and sustain attention. Compression garments like this vest work by delivering that deep pressure input in a portable, wearable format. Unlike weighted blankets, the vest can accompany a child to school, to therapy appointments, on outings, and through daily routines without drawing attention or restricting movement.
Occupational therapists frequently recommend compression vests as part of a broader sensory diet - the personalised schedule of sensory activities and inputs that helps neurodiverse individuals self-regulate across different environments and demands. The ProPower's adjustable compression system is especially suited to clinical protocols where compression levels need to be documented and replicated consistently across sessions.
This vest is genuinely versatile. Children who find deep touch comforting regardless of any diagnosis will benefit from it just as much as those with formally identified sensory processing differences, ADHD, or autism. The 5-vest bundle is particularly practical for:
Each vest is available in sizes XS through XL, covering ages 3 to 12. See the sizing guide below for chest circumference measurements.
Place the shoulder and torso straps on the lightest setting (blue stitching) before putting the vest on the wearer. Zip up, then reset the torso and shoulder straps to the recommended compression level. The wearer can slip the vest on and off using the zipper with compression levels already set, or can release the straps and slip it over the head - whichever is easier for the individual.
Hand-wash in cold water with mild detergent and air-dry. Do not dry in direct sunlight or store under heavy objects.
