Three Automatic and Five Sound-Activated LED Modes - All with Sensitivity and Speed Controls for Every User.

Description

The Experia Interactive LED Fanlite is a wall-mounted, voice-activated LED sensory panel available across North America. At 55"W x 32"H x 5.5"D and 61 lbs, it is wider than it is tall β€” a broad, fan-shaped LED display that responds to any vocalisation, voice, clap, or ambient sound by lighting up in vivid colour. Make a sound and the panel responds. The louder or more sustained the sound, the more the display reacts.

The Fanlite has 8 distinct operating modes: 3 automatic (the display cycles and shifts independently) and 5 sound-activated (the display responds directly to sound input). Every single mode β€” both automatic and sound-activated β€” has its own independent sensitivity and speed settings. This means the operator can tune each mode precisely: sensitivity from a quiet whisper to a sustained shout, response speed from slow and gradual to fast and immediate. The same panel, in the same room, can be calibrated for a non-verbal user working on early vocalisation, or for a group of children in a high-energy speech activity β€” without any physical changes to the equipment.

The internal microphone is built into the unit and handles the vast majority of use cases. An external microphone socket is also provided, with an external microphone supplied, allowing the sound input to be positioned closer to the user, further from the panel, or at a different point in the room when the layout of a session requires it.

The panel is designed to encourage vocalisation β€” the immediate, visible cause-and-effect relationship between making a sound and watching the display light up and shift colour is what makes it effective for speech and communication development. The therapeutic application is direct: the panel provides a reliable, repeatable, visually compelling reward for any vocal output, at any level, across all 5 sound-activated modes.

Wall mounting is required for stability. The unit operates on low voltage via the included transformer. Adult supervision required. Ages 3+. Made in the USA.

Key Features of the Experia Interactive LED Fanlite

  • 8 LED Modes - 3 Automatic and 5 Sound-Activated - The panel has 8 operating modes in total: three that run automatically without any user input, and five that respond directly to sound. Having both automatic and sound-activated modes in the same unit allows the operator to switch between passive ambient display and active cause-and-effect interaction within the same session.
  • All Modes Have Independent Sensitivity and Speed Settings - Every one of the 8 modes has its own sensitivity and speed controls. Sensitivity adjusts how much sound is needed to trigger a response; speed adjusts how rapidly the display reacts and transitions. Independent settings per mode mean that each mode can be calibrated precisely for different users, activities, or therapeutic goals.
  • Internal Microphone Included - The internal microphone is built into the panel and handles standard close-range and mid-range vocalisation in most therapy and classroom settings.
  • External Microphone Socket - External Mic Supplied - An external microphone socket allows the sound capture point to be positioned separately from the panel β€” closer to a user with very quiet vocalisation, at a different point in a group setting, or on the opposite side of the room.
  • 55"W x 32"H Fan-Shaped LED Display - The wide, low fan shape creates a broad visual field β€” 55 inches across β€” that is easily visible from across a sensory room. The radial, spreading form of the LED display is distinctive and visually distinctive against a wall.
  • LED Technology - Crisp, Bright Colours - LED technology provides vivid, consistent colour output that does not fade, requires no lamp replacement, and maintains reliable performance over extended daily use.
  • Wall-Mounted for Stability - Wall mounting is the required installation approach; the 61 lb weight and 55-inch width make wall mounting the appropriate and safe choice for any permanent installation.
  • Made in the USA - Manufactured by Experia USA.

Skills Developed Through the Experia Interactive LED Fanlite

  • Vocalization and Communication Skills - The immediate colour response to any vocalisation β€” however quiet, however brief β€” motivates continued vocal output and supports the gradual development of more intentional, sustained communication. The 5 sound-activated modes provide five different visual reward contexts for the same vocal behaviour.
  • Cause and Effect - The direct connection between making a sound and observing the LED panel light up is a foundational cause-and-effect experience; it requires no button, no physical action, and no controller β€” just a voice.
  • Auditory Self-Monitoring - Observing how different volumes, pitches, and durations of sound produce different responses across different modes develops auditory self-awareness and the beginnings of vocal self-regulation.
  • Attention and Sustained Engagement - The panel's immediate responsiveness to ambient sound naturally draws and holds attention; users motivated by the visual reward engage for longer and more consistently than with non-reactive displays.
  • Colour Recognition - The vivid, shifting colour display across 8 modes provides a rich, high-contrast context for colour observation and identification.

Ideal forΒ

  • OT clinics and speech-language pathology practices where cause-and-effect vocalization reward and communication skill development are primary therapeutic goals
  • Sensory rooms and multi-sensory environments adding a wide-format, voice-responsive LED panel
  • Schools, resource rooms, and inclusive classrooms where vocal engagement and communication development are curriculum goals
  • Children and adults at any stage of communication development who benefit from immediate visual reward for vocalisation
  • Group settings where ambient sound from multiple participants collectively activates the panel
  • Care facilities and residential settings where a visually compelling passive ambient display enriches the sensory environment (automatic modes)

FAQ:

  • What is the difference between IRiS, Superactive, Calming?
    • IRiS: Take full control of your Sensory Room with Experia's revolutionary IRiS Wireless Sensory Products range. IRiS Products use the latest technology to allow any IRiS Talker to control any IRiS listener creating stimulating interactive multisensory environments for the user. Each controller has been specifically designed for special needs users to improve skills such as color recognition, gross and fine motor skills.
      • What is a Listener?: Experia products that light up and change colours, or create sound. This would include Bubble Tubes, Fibre Optics, Recordable Speakers, and more.  They are "Listeners" because they are listening for a signal from an Experia controller.
      • What is a Talker?:A Talker is Experia's word for a controller. Talkers/Controllers send signals to Listeners to change colours or make sounds. They are Talking to the Listeners. Talkers would include the Colour Selector, Qube, Balance Beam, and many more.
    • Superactive: The Superactive range of products allow the user a wonderful level of control over their environment. All Superactive products can be controlled with the standard 8 color wireless controller or the brand new wireless Maze Controller! The standard 8 color wireless controller is included with all our Superactive products unless otherwise specified.
