The Experia IRiS+ LED Fibre Optic Bundle with iConverter is a portable, lap-safe fibre optic bundle and the most advanced IRiS Talker available across North America. At 15 lbs and 16"L x 16"W x 10"H, it includes the IRiS LED Fibre Optic Bundle and the IRiS+ iConverter - the hardware unit that connects to any Apple device (iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch) and turns it into an IRiS Talker via the free IRiS+ App.

Every other IRiS Talker in the Experia range controls IRiS Listeners through one primary interaction mechanic: a button press, a roll of the Qube, a step on the Balance Beam, or a tilt of the Maze Controller. The IRiS+ App via the iConverter combines all of these into one and adds four additional interaction switch types that are not available on any other Talker: sound activation, touch, vibration, and movement - 7 switch types in total. A user who cannot reliably press a button can activate the fibre optics through vocalisation. A user with limited deliberate movement can activate them through any body movement at all. This is the most accessible control interface in the entire Experia system.

The fibre optic strands in the bundle are lap-safe - they can be laid across the user's lap for close, hands-on tactile sensory contact, or simply placed nearby. The light source must be kept out of reach; the strands are completely safe to touch and hold.

Additional IRiS Talkers can be added to the same setup. The Maze Controller is available as an add-on for further interaction options. The free IRiS+ App is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
