The Experia LED Fibre Optic Star Carpet is a handmade 2m x 1m black carpet with colour-changing fibre optic lights woven directly into its surface, available across North America in two models: Calming and Superactive. Lay it on the floor of any sensory room, therapy space, or calm corner and the fibre optic lights begin to glow — dozens of tiny colour-changing points distributed across the black carpet creating a star-field, galaxy effect at floor level.

Every other fibre optic product in the Experia range places the light source on a wall, hanging from a ceiling mount, or in a bundle beside the user. The Star Carpet places it beneath them. Users can lie face-down into it, crawl across it, roll on it, sit on it, or press their hands and feet into the glowing surface. The floor contact is the experience — the fibre optic lights are the carpet.

The fibre optic strands carry no electrical current and do not heat up, making the carpet ultra-safe for any user regardless of age or proximity. It is handmade by a team of skilled craftsmen using Experia's proprietary LED light source, built in the USA.

The Calming model cycles slowly through colours automatically with no controller required. The Superactive model includes the wireless 8-button Qi-charging controller (90ft range) for user-directed colour changes, with the Maze Controller available as an add-on. The IRiS model is available as a separate product.
